The versatile 1/32 In. (0.8 mm) diameter Engraving bit is made of high-grade steel for use on wood, plastic, leather, soft metals & rubber. For use with all Dremel high-speed rotary tools, the accessories work well for detailed material removal in applications like shaping, carving, engraving, hollowing, grooving, slotting, inlaying, making tapered holes, or freehand routing. The cylinder shape of the Engraving bit allows for deep removal of material, cuts flat areas, round edges and makes stop cuts and V-cuts. The accessory tip makes flat bottom slots and grooves, flat side cuts, and makes V-cuts when held at 45-degrees.

Secure objects to a stable surface while working., For best results, insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down. This provides plenty of shank for the collet or chuck to hold onto the bit., Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact)., If chattering occurs, increase speed.
